Radical Moments of Joy

I’m grateful for the little things,

hairy caterpillars and dragonfly wings.

birds atop the springtime trees …

burgeoning blossom

kissed by a breeze.

I’ve a fondness for robins and wrens and snails,

acrobatic squirrels with big bushy tails.

See the insects

that till the earth,

we take for granted

their vital worth.

I’m thankful for each little thing

that fills me with wonder and makes my heart sing.

    • I’ve never really devoted the time needed to become an accomplished poet but when I come up with a little something, it feels like a small achievement and makes me happy.
      Spring is a wonderful! 🌷
      Thank you, David. 😊
